OK, so its no bulletin that Ice Cube is an actor whos improving with every role, as that aspect of his career gradually overshadows his profile as a member of the hip-hop group N.W.A.

"The Longshots" is a great movie for girls, especially. What makes it even better, it's a true story. A lonely, 14 year old girl in a broken-down town, with a single mother who has to take on extra shifts at work, ends up being "babysat" by her uncle [her dad's brother], who she barely knows.
