Lupin III Italian Game (special) Alternative title: Plot Summary: Lupin investigates the kidnapping of his estranged wife, Italian millionaire and celebrity, Rebecca Rosselini, who still carries this name.

The story of the new series takes place in Italy and San Marino, and it features a blue-jacketed Lupin in his 20s. The series opened with an invitation to Lupin's wedding to the new character Rebecca. Rebecca is the young president of a conglomerate based in the Republic of San Marino, the story's setting.

Lupin III (ルパン三世, Rupan Sansei) is the grandson of Arsène Lupin. He is the world's most wanted gentleman thief. He sometimes appears incompetent, but mostly as a charade to catch his opponents off guard. While he has been arrested and thrown in jail on a number of occasions, he has always managed to break out.

Several Lupin III video games have been created. The first was a stealth game released to arcades in Japan by Taito in 1980 as Lupin III. A Laserdisc video game entitled Cliff Hanger was released to arcades in North America in 1983 by Stern.
